  • Add it to soups & stews.
  • You can even use it on popcorn!
  • Especially good on sliced cucumbers or tomatoes.

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of our Roy Rogers Chili Seasoning

If you don’t want to use beer,

here are some other drinks you can use -

  • Put in 1 can of root beer and ½ cup of our delicious molasses
  • Use 1 can of orange soda and ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • Orange soda with chocolate chips

  • Or lemon lime or apple soda with 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Wagon Wheel Soup Mix

This can be made as a soup or just a skillet dish. Or even top with grated cheese bake it in the oven after it’s cooked.

To make it more like a soup, add in a can of beef broth.

YIELDS 2-4 SERVINGS

YOU WILL NEED:

- 1 Jar of Wagon Wheel Soup Mix

- 1 Pound of Ground Beef or Turkey (Optional)

- 1 Can Crushed Tomatoes

- 1 Package of Frozen Mixed Vegetables, or Fresh (Optional)

RECIPE:

1. Rinse beans.

· Put beans into a large pot, add 6-8 cups of water & bring to a boil.

· Allow beans to boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat & cover.

· Let beans stand for 2 hours. Drain water.

2. Brown the meat.

· Place in large pan or pot with veggies, tomatoes, spice mix & beans.

· Add 1 quart of water & cook for 1 hour.

3. In a separate pan, bring 4-6 quarts of slightly salted water to a boil.

· Mix in pasta & gently stir until the water boils again. Cook to desired tenderness, stirring occasionally.

· Drain immediately & add to soup.

  • If it's not soupy enough for you, add some beef or chicken broth to it.
  • Or top with cheese and put it in the oven for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.

Molasses

So traders came through your area and you scored some Molasses!!!  Lucky You!  Here's what you can do with it -

  • Put some on your biscuits instead of jam.
  • Use it on pancakes or waffles.
  • Baking cookies or a  cake?  Add some molasses!
  • Use some in your baked beans.
  • Rub it onto meat before cooking.

Buttermilk Biscuit Mix

We think the best way to eat these biscuits is topped with our Local Honey or Molasses!
But if you want a true Pioneer treat, drop the batter by small spoonfulls into some hot oil.  Cook for about 1 minute on each side ('til lightly browned).  Remove them from the oil and drain on clean paper towels.  Then roll in cinnamon sugar.

These can be baked by dropping onto a  baking sheet or roll 'em out and cut 'em into circles and bake.

Bean Soup Mix

This can be made as a soup or just a skillet dish. Or even top with grated cheese bake it in the oven after it’s cooked.
To make it more like a soup, add in a can of beef broth.

You can cook these  beans with chicken, pork or beef.  Why, you could probably even cook 'em with tofu!
Instead of using our spice packet that comes with the beans, use a couple of tablespoons of our Roy Rogers Chili Mix!
Slow Cooker Recipe -
Wash the beans.  Put them into a slow cooker with 8 cups beef, chicken or veggie broth, 1 onion (chopped), the seasoning packet  and some cooked sausage (or other meat).
Cook on high for about 8 hours.

You can also make this soup with chicken, turkey or any ground meat.

This is how Roy Rogers liked his chili. But you can add in one or two cans of beans if you like.

Corn Bread Mix

Gotta have cornbread when you eat chili!
Mmmmm, warm corn bread from the oven topped with our Local Honey!
You could make the batter and put in on the top of a casserole before you bake it.
Wanna Mix it Up?  Here's some other ideas:
Mix in a can of corn (drained) before baking.

  • Add a teaspoon or two of our Roy Rogers Chili Mix.
  • Put in 1/4 cup of our  unsulphured Molasses.
  • Add some chopped jalapenos.  Or bacon bits.

Pancakes - Use our mix and add in 1 egg, 2 tbsp  shortening and 1/2 cup milk.  Mix well.  Use like you would pancake batter.  Then, don't forget to top with our Maple Syrup!

Multi-Colored Popcorn

Did you know that you don't need a popcorn popper to make our popcorn?

Just put about 1/4 cup of our Multicolored Popcorn into a paper lunch bag.

Fold over the top and put in your microwave.

Push that "popcorn" button and let-er-go!
